Spending a great portion of his childhood in Angola, Jorge Santos and his family were forced to flee the country once a violent political turmoil broke out. Residing in Portugal at the age of 16, a revolution occurred which led to spark his inspiration in drawing. Expressing his feelings through art resulted with him leaving Portugal and planting his skills in the United States. After moving into the US, he has expanded his horizons in drawing and elevated into the painting medium and realistic portraiture. Through his self teaching motivation, Jorge Santos has integrated full color pieces creating themes combining a serious vibe and humor. Check out some of work below!
