Durnham natives, Phonte, Big Pooh and DJ/producer 9th Wonder made up the alternative hip hop group, Little Brother. The North Carolina breeds became a staple to the hip hop community along with four of their studio albums as well as their numerous mixtapes. Following the footsteps of their bigger brothers or idols such as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and Public Enemy, they became the little brothers of the hip hop scene. As years passed, the group announced their disbandment focusing on their solo careers. As their break up stands, their revolution in creating little subgroups are continuing. Big Pooh states, "If you're doing business with a friend, you gotta decide, well, do I end this business relationship and keep my friendship? Or do I continue this business relationship and end up wrecking both?"
