Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Professor Griff and his S1W group, Terminator X, and Khari Wynn made up with American hip hop group, Public Enemy. Formed in 1982, Public Enemy took the world by storm with their all black wardrobe and charged lyrics appointing the concerns of the African American community. Expressing their views on the American media through their music, their message was heard aroud the country. Releasing their first debut album in 1987, Yo! Bum Rush The Show!, became their gateway to a successful future. Releasing It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back in 1988 became a staple in the hip hop community and being ranked number 17th as the best album of all time. In recent years, their success led them to having the number one hip hop song, "Fight the Power". In 2012, a studio album was released entitled, Most of My Heroes Still Don't Appear on No Stamp and was exclusively available on iTunes. Recently, the world renowned hip hop group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2013. To this day, Public Enemy has been the inspiration to other artists and will always be important figures in the hip hop game.
