WTF! Happened: Xscape

4

R&B music back in the day is as good as it gets. As one of the pioneers in women's R&B, Xscape were a great addition to the slow jam culture. The group consisted of sisters LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. In 1991, the quartet became discovered by Jermaine Dupri at a festival and signed them to So So Def on the spot. After releasing their first debut album in 1993, it went platinum and appeared on the Billboard Top 200 at number 17 along with being the number 3 best R&B album. Through much commercial success, Xscape disbanded in 2008 to pursue solo careers. These days, the Scott sisters and Burruss continued to pursue music as Tiny married atlanta rapper,Ti and stars on their reality show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. As all good things come to an end, music will last forever and Xscape will alway be a part of R&B history.
