Designer Szymon Hanczar has built and moved into a 140 square-foot micro apartment, by cleverly arranging the floorplan so that it can fit everything he needs. Hanczar states that the fast-paced life of living in a big city absorbs so much that many young people are redefining the term 'housing'. To achieve the desired effect, Hanczar built a mezzanine level for the bedroom and fitted a small kitchenette below it, keeping the decor relatively neutral with little splashes of colour to visually expand the space. The set up gives the apartment a eye-appealing aesthetic while providing a surprisingly functional space.
