Feature'd Album Of The Week: Dr. Dre "Chronic 2001"

This week's 'Feature'd Album of the Week' showcases Dr. Dre and his second studio album 'Chronic 2001'. Released late 1999 after an argument over the name with Death Row Records the album served as a follow up to his successful debut record 'The Chronic'. Chronic 2001 displays an expansion on Dre's signature G-funk sound with gangster rap themes such as violence, drugs, street gangs, and crime that are still relevant to today's society. The innovative music that Dr. Dre was known was paired with a plethora of guest contributions from fellow American rappers such as The D.O.C., Hittman, Snoop Dogg,Kurupt, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, and Eminem making the record one of the best of its decade.
