Chelsie Rendon

Streetwear label, Pleasures, is well-known for its take on modern apparel which includes brash artistry and graphics while adding quality fabrication for an overall luxe collection. Starting its journey in Los Angeles, the streetwear brand gained instant recognition within the industry as they were not afraid to introduce heart-wrenching and controversial imagery and designs. Since 2015, they have continuously introduced new collections each season that withhold their true ethos and signature aesthetic. The latest arrival is titled, ‘Take It or Leave Me’- a bold statement and introduction for their spring collection. A variety of graphic tees are met with signature branding and new illustrations while a big focus on outerwear is seen with a variety of hoodies, layering pieces, and jackets. Stand-out pieces include quality fabrication new to the brand’s repertoire; these statement pieces offer a cozy and high-quality finish.

One of the layering pieces that are highlighted within the collection is the Nail Button Down. Reminiscent of retro bowling shirts and mechanic uniforms, the button-down utilizes a mixture of polyester and cotton for its distinct woven design. Varying colors accent the red base while a stitched patch showcases signature branding and a singular chest pocket is added for tactical use. The vibrant colorways are also seen within the Shade Plaid Work Shirt. Its orange and red complexion is contrasted by white embroidery that falls right in the center. Double chest pockets fall flush upon the chest while a pressed collar adds a sophisticated touch. Another long-sleeve found within the capsule is the Ace Fleece Crewneck. Utilizing a fuzzy fleece fabrication, the crewneck provides a soft-to-the-touch experience that is cozy during times of wear. Embroidered branding matches the black cuffs and crewneck which contrast the overall neutral body. What seems like a standard design, is elevated with the use of unconventional materials.

A variety of graphic tees makes their debut including the Suffer T-Shirt. A cherub character makes its way upon traditional Pleasures branding. To correlate with the angelic motif, an old-time scroll showcases a bold statement that follows Pleasures aesthetic. Coinciding with the Suffer graphic, the Hate Free T-Shirt showcases collegiate designs created by east coast artist, Mike Nucero. The iconic graphic designer contributed to the collection and produced this graphic to correlate with the delivery. All of Pleasure’s t-shirts are constructed with premium cotton and are printed in the USA for a quality finish.
